Paltrow Predicted Lonely Life After Oscar Win

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow was convinced she would never marry after winning an Oscar in 1999 - because the frenzy surrounding the prestigious ceremony and the events after it fulfilled her wildest fantasies. The 35-year-old actress married Coldplay rocker Chris Martin in December 2003 - and although the pair share two children, Apple, four, and Moses, two - Paltrow admitted she had doubts she would ever walk down the aisle after her big win for her Shakespeare in Love role. In a 2001 interview, she revealed, "I may never marry. The reason is I already have an Oscar. Women want to get married because of the whole wedding fantasy. It's their big day at the Oscars. It's hair, make-up, big dress, big fuss. I don't need that anymore. I had it with Shakespeare In Love. "Besides, I don't like being told what to do or anyone extra hemming me in. So I doubt I'll ever get married."

George Clooney Buys A New Smile

George Clooney has invested $30,000 (£15,000) on giving his dashing Hollywood smile a revamp, according to a new report.

The actor's blinding pearly-white gnashers - on display at the Costume Institute Gala in New York earlier this month - are reportedly the result of extensive dental surgery.

Cosmetic dentist Jonathan Abenaim blames 47-year-old Clooney's previously crooked smile on a teeth-grinding habit.

He tells Star magazine, "When you grind your teeth, they get shorter. To restore the original look the dentist has to lengthen teeth with porcelain veneers."

Abenaim claims Clooney has also undergone a 'smile lift', a laser treatment on the gums which exposes more of the teeth.

And the dentist approves of the results: "It fills out his face more and makes him look younger."

Now That's the Yngwie to Dress for Court

Hulk Hogan might've gotten away with a bandanna in court, but do ya think this Mickey Rourkean get-up is the way to sway a federal jury?

In case you're a little rusty on your speed-metal guitar heroes, that's fleet-fingered Yngwie (that's ING-vay) Malmsteen, the sultan of the Strat, whom we caught outside of court in New York. He's in the midst of a long legal battle with his former manager over some cash he says he's owed.

We're told that the judge tolerated Yngwie's chesty display -- though curiously enough, women in sandals and shorts were turned away.
